The new Mons station

On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, the new Mons station opens. Modern, accessible and at the heart of the city, Mons station and its new footbridge offer even greater intramodality.

The station will be in service and accessible from the first departing train on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, before its official inauguration on January 31, 2025, to coincide with the “Mons en Lumières” festival.

An intermodal hub

With 57,000 passengers a week and 189 trains a day, Mons station is becoming a real intermodal hub, thanks to the importance it attaches to other means of transport. People will be able to access the bus station, Kiss&Ride and take a cab directly from the new station.  There are five covered platforms, two parking lots and 350 bicycle parking spaces, while the new footbridge houses 14 retail and service areas.
